Van Nguyen has been part of Total Sports Medicine and Orthopedics since 2020. She earned her Master of Physical Assistant Studies in 2019 from Touro University in Henderson, Nevada. Before Physician Assistant school, Van completed her Master of Science in Medical Health Sciences. Van received her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences degree from California State University, Fullerton. During her undergraduate studies, she worked as a Research Assistant in a laboratory where she published her work and received multiple scholarships and grants. She also volunteered and worked as a medical scribe in various emergency departments. After Physical Assistant school, she completed a fellowship in Emergency Medicine at University Medical Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants. Van is fluent in Vietnamese. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities including snowboarding, rock climbing, and hiking.
Van has been trained exclusively by Dr. Joseph Yu in all treatment of shoulders, hips, and knees. She is trained with the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the area of sports medicine and orthopedics. She is trained and experienced with ultrasound-guided injections.
